Found vehicles in Walnut Grove (Maxwell) Pond, Eugene

Went out yesterday for a quick paddle and ended up finding 3 cars on the bottom with side imaging.

I sent the info in to Eugene police and they set search and rescue to confirm it's a Ford pinto and 2 pickups trucks

Also confirmed there's catfish in there as they were hanging out in the Pinto

Hope that they were simply dumped. And there were no humans inside!

I had a buddy who owned a pinto in high school and the floorboard was rusted out and you could watch the road go by at your feet. Passenger seat was held up by a 2x4 seriously though, it kind of disgusts me that people dump cars in our lakes and ponds

What kind of catfish?

Little bullheads, 6-8" long

I would imagine there's others out there unless they get eaten too quickly

I did find what I'm assuming was a carp underneath me

As of 2021 there was at least one largemouth over 6lbs out there
