Fishing Silver Falls State Park

Curious if ya'll have fished this state park and if you have advice?

Also curious about access points since the park encourages folks to stay on trail?

I haven’t fished it before but I know that there’s a fair number of fish in the creek both above and below the falls, they can be pretty spooky though. Not sure about the rules as far as staying on the trails or anything and I doubt any of the park rangers would care enough to try and ticket you or anything (idk if that’s even a thing). As far as I’m concerned just do your thing and if someone is miserable enough to want to make it a big deal then they can kick rocks.

I've only been out there a couple of times, and not to fish. I do remember a couple of non-trail spots with parking lots that I drove past where people were fishing. Sorry, I can't be more specific than that, but I bet you'll see what I'm talking about when you go through there. I think there's also a reservoir near Silverton where you can fish.

Definitely lots of decent cuttys in there, used to go when I was little and always saw loads of trout, good amount of crayfish too. Never fished it though
