Fish below Leaburg dam?

ok i need to know if i should be fishing below leaburg dam or should i fish a diferant river right now? i am going somewhere on weds. so if anyone could help me decide where i should go that would be great... oh and i am a bank fisherman!!!!

There are still summer fish in the McKenzie, most of them are ABOVE the leaburg dam. I'd recommend fishing the Siuslaw for winters. Bigger, brighter fish that aren't all snaked out skinny from spawning. Lots of bank access on stagecoach road, and Siuslaw road.

oh thank you so much well maybe me and my buddy will head to whitaker creek.. would that be a good spot?

Yep. The river's been on the drop for a while now, should be in real good shape. I prefer fishing lower just because whittaker can become a combat zone, but, during the week it might not be so bad. The best bank spots are the opposite side of the road.
