Was there Wed-Thurs. Sixes was blown both days, Elk was fishable but high. Today should be perfact on both systems. Wed the Elk river hatchery had over 900 fish enter the trap in one day. This weekend will be steller for sure wish I was still there.

Fishhunter and I fished it yesterday (Thursday). River was high but definitely fishable. We had several hits and actually had one on for about 5 seconds. A few boaters landed some but not many. There were some Toads at the hatchery. We got to watch them spawn the salmon. Interesting.

I never have, but might.

If you fish these river's for steelhead you may need to take a day off to rest just like the last couple of salmon days.Maybe anchovies w/a diver Rogue setup may get a fish or four sometimes better that kwikfish:dance:
