Shad are good for feeding BIG sturgeon. That's about it... :lol:
Unless you like to waste gas in your boat going after these things, then you can use them for crab bait or oversize sturgie bait.

Ha back home I would gather shad during the winter and put them in an old ice cream bucket than place it out in the yard all winter under snow and ice when it thaws the fish deteriate and I make stink bait out of that... Caught some very very very big cats. that is what shad is good for lol or if your homeless and have a fishing pole lol.
