Eagle Creek steelhead fishing

I was wondering if anyone had any advice about Eagle Creek as far as steelhead fishing goes. I have never fished it but would like to give it a try at some point this winter. A question I especially had is what is a good water level for the creek? (I'd hate to get across town only to find a blown out stream).

Unfortunately there isn't a Guage posted online to go off that i know off. That small of a stream drops very fast after rain so fish will move during and shortly after a heavy rain. I would say try to time it the next day or 2 when the clarity is "steelhead green". Personally I would recommend fishing the lower clackamas over eagle creek. Bonnie lure down to the 205 Bridge area. The fish will be fresher and more willing to bite.
