Do you have a week side hooking/fighting fish??

First OFF, This thread if for every type of fisherman/woman out there (fly, hardwear, or gear).

What do i mean by week side?

If you are fishing the river, and the current is flowing to the left causing your "swing" to be on your left side. OR the opposite way around, Current flowing to your right, and the swing to the right.

This year all my steelhead i have landed have been hooked and landed on the (right side swing, current flowing right) with the exception of a few others lost. Every one i hooked on the Left side swing, current flowing left) i have lossed haha

Basicly... what "swing" are you working on the most??

most places i choose to fish, the river is flowing to my left, so most hookups come when i am swinging to the left haha

I bat right or left...don't matter much to me! See the fish, be the fish!

That is pretty much the answer i was looking for. The places i choose to fish the river is flowing to my right. Which is my "strong side" haha! Land more fish when i fish like this, idk why lol

No i always fish new water, usually fish a new spot every trip, i guess it's just because all the "good" holes to me that i like flow to the right and can't be fished from the other side! lol.
