My buddy and I are looking at heading up to Detroit Lake this Friday and wondering if anyone has been up there lately, how fishing was and if they launched at the low water ramp.

Well, looks like my best laid plans have come to not. Between the prowler we had at our home last night and that my fishing partner just called and is on the way to the hospital with his wife who fell and laided out in the garage for twenty minutes before he found her with a broken arm and a hurt back it looks like I have decided to stay home. So here's the report in advance - we didn't catch a thing.

According to the State website the fishing is bad due to high turbidity levels from the recent rains. Anyone have a more up-to-date report?

Talked with a fiend yesterday who had been up to the east end mud flats.
On the road out to the Island. HE stated he did well from the bank. Got 5 nice fat fish. Would of gone to day, but well it is a football thing. It should be raining.
