Detroit fishing now? 2/7/13

anyone know how the water levels are right now? do you still have to walk down to the water? if so whats the easiest way down and best spots? thinking of taking a coworker out there tomorrow but not sure how the water is and never fished there when its low.

It's VERY low...only the river flows through the middle. But, the owner of the Mill City sporting goods shop told me that the fishin's been HOT. But, that was about 3 weeks ago. You might call there, and ask for Jim. Tell 'em that Jay sent you his way (he's my alarm system client).

Thanks for the heads up. ill give him a call. if he says its good im headed out and will deliver a report. I do know it has gone up a few feet in the last week or so but its still 100ft below normal. I have high hopes now.

well we went and got skunked. the wind was blowing a lot. we tried several locations and various methods and baits. got some great pics. i almost killed my coworker with all the hills and climbing (seriously thought he was having a heart attack). it was fun for me. wish we would have nabbed something.
