Adding line to spool

Need some help here. When you've already got some line on your spool and you want to add more, what kind of knot do you tie to the end of your line to go about doing so? I had a few foul ups today and lost some good line out there.

Yea it works great i heard about the blood not form osmo and one day needed to put more braid on my sturgeon rod well that day got the line down on a good size fish and got worred when i seen it come off my reel..... but the knot at the swivel broke first
