Man catches largest fish pulled from Oklahoma waters

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife says the largest fish ever caught in Oklahoma waters was recently recorded.

The department says Paul Easley pulled an 8-foot alligator gar weighing 254 pounds out of Lake Texoma recently. The fish has a girth of 44 inches.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife says the fish is very unique and lives a long life. Alligator gar only have periodic spawning opportunities.

I've seen many of those beasts in Lake Texoma....and they're tough as nails. Had fun one day while seining minnows in a cove and saw one ambush bathing birds and then put the smackdown on some little ducklings. The real nature channel. never saw one that FAT!
