First springer for me came in at 27lbs. I was alone so no pics or I definitely would have gotten a glory shot. Can't wait to eat this big girl. 1000014921.jpg1000014922.jpg

fatty

That's down right awesome. Springers are great on the plate! The curry comb caught my eye, used to use one just like it to remove those scales.

I'm a k-15 kinda guy for early springers, so no, not the wobblers I got from you unfortunately. I typically run plugs off my motor but the water was so low I've been able to row which has been nice. Only problem is I have to grab the rod, then get on my motor. This was particularly fun because I had taken some kids trout fishing the day before and forgot to put my salmon net back in the boat. I had to beach the boat and get out to beach the fish. This fish came from the Umpqua system.

Great story about the net...lol. We got an UCB yesterday despite the reel coming out of the rod's seat...

This bad boy cost me 8 hrs of trolling around on the Columbia yesterday and a broken transducer but my persistence paid off. It was such a nice day it wasn’t too difficult to stay out on the water.

I got a hat trick earlier this week and couldn't resist a picture. The first one came within about 10 seconds of clicking over my reel. Still had the rod in my hand. The next two came bouncing eggs.

Can't say it's been a spectacular year, but I've put about 50lbs of meat in the freezer so far.

Salmon bite Friday the 3rd out of Winchester was off the chart. 8 keepers in a hour 150-290 feet all on hootchies and chunks of bait. The bar crossing sucked but the ocean was flat.

Looks Good Jamie. Ocean is still pretty hot!

Fished Last Sunday ran North out of Winchester Bay about 3 miles dropped in 3 Coho in 10 minutes all high fins that had to be released. Non stop action for about a half hour with no keepers, as the bite died start trolling south and found some hatcheries. We finished up with our 8 Coho and lost one nice King. All the fish came on Hoochie's some with Spin & Fish stuffed with a Tuna mixture. The ocean was more sloppy than projected but it was not bad at all.

We fished from 80' to 120' of water and was surprised the water was around 60° there.
