dont get to excited. Cosco did the same thing to us in McMinnville 4 years ago now. They joined the chamber of comerce and everything. I havent eat'n a Costco dog in Mac yet!
The fishing on the Siletz is bad. people everywhere, no fish, hard to access. Your fish are a fluke! People reading this should go to the Salmon river its closer. Stay away from the Siletz unless you just want to drink beer.;);)
A fella out here used to sell metal traps that used a 12 gauge shotgun shell. You would put the trap on a hill that you dug down to the tunnel. put a bucket over the trap for safety and go watch the game. A flap would discharge the shell when the little bugger came to fill back the hole flipping...
This year I didn't have any luck with the morel's. I usually pick enough to dry and last through the year, but time is not on my side these days.
I have Amanita dried in the closet for pest control. Dried mushroom powder in a container of milk wipes out flies. Don't leave it where kids or cats...
I second troutdudes observation of that mushroom. It does appear to be a Amanita from the warts on the cap. I wouldn't eat it.
