my question was do u land more fish with a single hook, not that fish safety isn't important but im courious.

Iv been hearing of a lot of guys using single hooks on their salmon steelhead spinners, spoons, quick fish. just wanted to hear multiple inputs on it from people who swear by one over the other and people who think they are equal and why?

Im a huge Roster tail fan, here is what iv noticed, first off if u dont buy the brand name roster tails and get the knock offs, ur screwed right off the bat, second is if they get bent at all, they dont work and iv seen so many people bend them trying to pull them out of the plastic, and i also...

yeah not anymore. u pull a gaff out fish and game is gana have ur a$$. or a treble hook. barbless hooks only! been like that for a while.

i can't remeber if there is a boat ramp but the water gets right next to the road so if its light u can carry it 15' to the water. i do remember a couple boats that would have been trailered on the water tho. i just dont remeber and if there is it would be within 100' of the camp. and its a perdy...

i went up there last year about this time and no one was catching anything and i floated those balls of fire egg things in the little jar on just a little J hook and started slaying them. maybe try that next time if u didn't already. and those spots he had marked are the spots i like best too.

Fished the upper clack this last weekend. just with some rooster tails and didn't even get a nibble.

good luck catching a salmon there. dont think iv heard of anyone getting one there, but u might get a shaker sturgeon or two. find the deep spots.

my next question is... what do u do with them? do u let them go? or are u sopose to kill them like a squaw fish? i read that they do eat salmon eggs....

umm kinda moving water. im catching them at the mouth of the clackamas river where it runs into the willamette. by the boat ramp. its kinda slow moving water but it is moving.

I always fish right below the dam from there and i go mid may usally and kill it. mass amount of crappie and great catfishing and amazing bass fishing. but this year it was cold too long the snow melt was still coming down in may and blew the river out so now would prolly be a great time to go.

I cought a few really small bullheads in the mult. channel, if anyone cares to know.

Iv been catching this fish that looks like a squawfish but with a carp mouth. what is it? i was thinking it was a peamouth but now after seeing a couple pics it doesn't look the same. almost looks like a small white carp with really small scales. and help?
