Lakes Green Peter Reservoir Fishing Reports 2021

Years of fishing on the Yakima. Heard it was best to avoid them there, trout are always in clean water. I lived in TC mostly from 2005-2020, I had to fish for them eventually to have fun in the hot summer months.

Lakes Green Peter Reservoir Fishing Reports 2021

Yeah, that was where I saw them - the mouth of Quartzville Creek. They had to be spawning, that coloring is unmistakable and the water was super clear though it was cloudy out so it made it hard to get a better look. Super interesting though. I checked the regs and all it said was that salmon...

Lakes Green Peter Reservoir Fishing Reports 2021

Spent most of the day exploring the far end of Green Peter Reservoir, trolling deep on my kayak and coming up zero as the weather turned cold and made the fish sleepy. I started out at 10 feet, went to the bottom, and all the way back up trolling a kastmaster, then spinner with egg with a green...

I am 270 lbs, so I don't put anything on it aside from my rod holder and water bag for float trips. Might as...

Moving to Eugene and need advice on tackle

Mazama's is a great local store to get a steelhead setup, an 8 ft rod should be able to do both. There is also Cabella's, but I usually prefer local. I also use it trolling for kokanee because it handles the 3 oz ball better than my bass/trout rod. I fish from a kayak unless out on a smaller...

Been fishing for years but have no clue what I'm doing...

Another place to take kids for an EPIC weekend is Tucannon near Dayton, Washington. It has a series of five lakes all fully stocked with catchables and jumbos with a camp store nearby called The Last Resort. They offer rv spots, cabins, but the best part is the dispersed camping off one of the...

Been fishing for years but have no clue what I'm doing...

So, I was you when I moved to the PNW in 2005. I knew nothing but worms and bobbers and bass baits being from the south and in Florida I just threw out a cast net on the beach and fished with what the fish were eating. I just moved to Eugene from the Tri-Cities, WA so around here I am just...
