    Help me pick a boat!

The seaeagle 380x could work. It is adequate for everything you mentioned but not outstanding in any area other than portability. I own one and have done everything you have mentioned. I love it other than when the wind picks up! pm me if you have questions...

    Old Town PDL 106 0r 120?

You can’t really go wrong with either. If you plan on fishing from it year round and every week/day, I would get the 12.5. The extra few feet go a long way in performance, storage, and deck space. If you are fishing every now and then and want to save some money, the 10,6 will be fine. I have...

    Kokanee this coming weekend

In a kayak on Green Peter I would not recommend trolling until you spot a “Koke Ball”. My experience there with that strategy has led to a lot of wasted time. I would recommend getting to areas known to be productive. At 3+ mph in your yak it will take you at least 20-30 min. to get up the...

    Kokanee this coming weekend

Went up there Friday in my Kayak. Once I found them and got past the floating debris (Quartzville arm at 50ft) I caught a mouthful. (8 lil guys). Orange was the magic color. (7 to 1 vs. green)

    Hills Creek Reservoir

Fishing was smokin' hot last weekend in the Packard Arm. 2 hours of trolling = 10+ feisty bows. I kept 5.

    Ascend 128X

x2 old town pdl. They can be a challenge to get you hands on but so worth the wait….American made, lifetime hull, 5yr on the drive, and amazing customer service. Salty, Topwater, Bigwater are all awesome with pros and cons beyond the different price points. As a bass fisherman I think the...

Dorena or Cottage Grove Reservoirs reports?

Had a great Sunday morning at Dorena including a 17in brute who fought like he wanted to pull me out of my kayak. (Micro fwg Flasher and a gold Kastmaster tipped with worm)……So I went up Monday afternoon after work…..NOTHING except two bullheads IN 35 FOW. (They really seem to like the gulp...

I'm jonesin' to go get some trout!

16hrs on Crane Prairie over two days resulted in only 5 fish in the boat. We focused entirely on the Quinn River arm. No sign of Troutski. (Maybe he caught all the fish?) All reports from people up there is that the bite is super slow.

Lakes Hills Creek Reservoir Fishing Reports

After several successful trips to hcr over the past two months I went up after work and got skunked. One short strike in 3hours. Surface temp 56 outside temp 71. 4-5 ft. visibility. Figured this would be a quick limit. I threw all my previous winning presentations (cleos, streamers, flasher...

    Lakes Hult Pond Fishing Reports

Answer to your Hult question: 14' boat= depends how wide and heavy. It is going to be difficult to impossible. You will have trouble backing a trailer close enough to get it in and out of the water. If you can move the trailer by hand you can probably get it in but getting it out will be...

    Hult/Horton pond question

Electric motor is allowed. Good luck. If you catch anything please share with me what and how. I’ve seen people limit there on cutthroat with drys and nymphs but I am 0 for 3. Not even a bite.
