Why fish from the bank? Hook size...5/0 6/0 7/0 all depends on how big your bait is. Call me....I'll answer any questions. Always take a variety of baits. Sand shrimp is the go to bait. Herring, anchovy, smelt and squid are good too.
Launched at Cathedral park/St. Johns, 7 am. fished up to Swan island basin, then jumped spot to spot all the way to the mouth of the Multinoma channel. Fished just above 2 guides for an hour and a half. Saw them land 1 keeper and a few shakers( the guide boats were just above the St. Johns...
I have some different frozen baits I would normally use for crabbing, like shad and mackrell(spelling). I know there is a shad run in the columbia sometime, but has anyone tried these baits when there is no run going?

Thanks to all. I will be fishing in a 05 Hewescraft Sportsman 18 w/ Honda 75 on the back. I am the only one that has logos on the side like G-loomis, Humminbird,etc. Give me a "wave " if you see me!
