    How to dead drift nymphs

Thanks for sharing. That is the situation I have the most trouble dead drifting through. The fast water close to you and perfect speed water on the other side of the river. Nice to see other people's techniques.

    What you really think

Great video about what you really think about while fly fishing (if you were guiding) It won the short film award from Drake Magazine.

    Ice fishing guidance

Great to see Oregon ice fishing. I have all my ice fishing gear (auger, mini rods, ice scoop) from Colorado still and have been meaning to get it out. After seeing you guys having a good time I might have to get serious. Too bad it is awesome at the mountain now.

Funny Craigslist Ifish hater.....OFF member?? lol

That video is hilarious. If I saw a guy wave like that to me I would think he was a very effeminate individual and wonder why he doesn't wave like a normal person or not at all.

    Warm Springs to Trout Creek

Bummer on losing those steelhead. Good to know you hooked into a couple and got some nice trout. Sometimes those 18-20" redsides make you feel all steelhead gitty for the first couple headshakes.

    Siletz steelhead

Thanks everyone. The fish didn't fight very hard for being so bright but sure tasted good.

    Siletz steelhead

Caught this fish at Moonshine park on Siletz this weekend and it was my second time fishing at Moonshine. The bonus was I found the spinner hangin out of his mouth while snorkeling during the heat of the day. There was probably 150 people floating and swimming at the park on Sat. Great people...

    Fall nooks

I heard a similiar report from friends who caught a 25 pound nook in Winchester Bay last week.

    All-time fly

Parachute Adams 14 and Hares Ear Nymph in 12 to 14. I have caught the most fish on those two flies, and they are easy to tie (for me). Those smaller stimulators are awesome as well, especially with larger caddis and smaller stones like the yellow sallies on the water at the same time.

    What's better?

For trout I would probably go to Ochoco. Troll or fish around the creek inlets and rocky outcroppings (opposite sides of the lake). I haven't caught many trout out of Prineville so I am biased. Sounds like Irishrover knows where they are.

    What's better?

It depends on if you are boating or banking it and the species you want to target. I love Ochoco and mainly bank fish around around the boat launch bay and along the rocks and riprap along the dam. There are Crappie and Bullhead Catfish in the bay and trout along the rocky outcroppings...

    Folly water??????

If this is the same Pete Heley that wrote the book Deschutes River Angler, then I really enjoyed your book. Helped me figure out some spots on the upper river. Welcome to the forum. Spmpdr, there have been a few more people down there fishing lately after the Bulletin wrote an article about how...
