I was just looking into the area more in the regulations and it looks like that whole area "Illinois river and it's tributaries above Pomeroy Dam" are closed :(
Must have slipped through my initial peek at the regs since I was just looking for the creek itself...
I'm trying to plan out a fishing/gold panning trip and Josephine creek does hold gold and looks like it should hold fish but I can't find any fishing reports for the creek.
Does anyone know what species, size, and quantity of fish to expect from this creek?

Update: I did not fish cabin creek but soda creek was jammed full of small cutthroat however they were very hard to catch due to the heavy brush. I only managed to land one fish but I got a bite in almost every hole I casted to.

I drove out to hagg lake on Saturday because I saw that it had been recently stocked with trout but had no luck in the sains creek area and I didn't see any other anglers catch anything either. Has any one had luck at hagg recently? Where are the fish cruising?
