    Upper Sandy dead dead dead

I'm gonna go again Friday morning, but I'm gonna switch out to my long n light vintage wright mcgill rod, and go with lighter line, and try some jigs under a bobber up at garbage and dodge. So many people using 10 pound, which scares the bejeezus out of me. I've been using 20 pound big game...

Bank fishing for steelhead/salmon on the Columbia.

I'm in the same neck of the woods you are, takes me about 5-10 minutes to drive to the 205 bridge on Marine Drive. Last time I went ther eI ended up paying a deductable to have my windows replaced. You can try Kelly Point park, but that's up in North Portland, might be a bit of a drive...

Started on the lower og tnothing, went to garbage hole, got into one, took down then up then accross back down and shook the hook. Went to dodge for a bit, got nothing, back to garbage, still nothing. I managed to pull in aabout a 12 inch chub at Dodge. Yippy. That's about all the action...

Sounds like your the right person to me. I haven't been back up there since. Don't have the gas to go that far very often, usually just lower sandy somewher ein Troutdale area. tough fishing down there from the bank. Some good hole sbut no bank angler access. I just picked up some of the...

    Upper Sandy dead dead dead

I had a good experience with Jack today on the lower sandy. As he drifted through with his clients past the hole I was fishing, one of them pulled in a nice fish. They stayed in the hole for awhile and we chatted a bit whenever he went by. He told his clients to be mindful of my line, and not...

I'm not sure who Ed Fast is, but this boat had bright blue pontoons on it. He was also smart enough when he passed to come right in close to the bank instead of over the hole like the rest of the pontooners did, so whoever it was, the guy had some class too.

Went out yesterday morning and stayed until about 4:00PM. Lots of guys came and lots of guys went, I was up around dodge and garbage hole. Different setups, fly, spinning, casting. Different techniques, eggs, sand and coon shrimp, soft baits, hardware, light, heavy, every color under the...

    Carp on Columbia slough?

I've not yet seen any carp taken form the slough, and hadn't anywhere else until last week. I was down under the 205 bridge, and there was a guy down there from France, and he had three of them, two between 15 and 20 pounds, and one WELL over 20. Was a good 3 foot long. I have photo's of two...

Is Elbow Room an issue anywhere bank fishing?

It gets like this at times at North Fork reservoir, but the people aren't that friendly. The boaters constantly harras the bankers, they don't obey the speed limit, and you get jet skiers that will show up buzaz accross your lines, run up into your spot and then 5 or 6 of them will get in your...

Anybody know how to start a spinner making company?

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm getting started as well doing the same thing. Have a very small batch ready to go(I don't have squat in the way of capitol), you can go the route that other companies take, don't make your lures to catch fish, make them to catch fisherman, or my route is...
