Sorry I don't get around much. Just returned from 4 weeks in the woods of Eastern Oregon. The weather was hot and the woods were dry. Our party of 5 only got one elk. I managed to get a buck, but 90 degrees daily made for a lean hunt. Had fun nonetheless.
Going again Thursday. Will try really hard to gain your disdain. But I will always like you. BTW, Tobe's finger looks almost like new. Modern medicine is miraculous.
Caught a 12lb springer on Thursday, the smallest adult springer I have ever seen on the Umpqua. If my fishing partner sends me a picture, I'll post it, but it looks more like a Willamette springer. Better than a skunk, though.

I finally got out for some fun. Umpqua springers, if not the best salmon in the world, are certainly in the top five. This was yesterday. 31 pounds on a digital scale. (de-liar)
