I love spending a sunny day at Trillium lake. They do stock it with some pigs. I got this one last summer. I was surprised that it fought as well as it did. I did let it go after trying to take a photo while holding the fish with one hand.
I'm interested in fly fishing the South Yamhill River for some trout soon. Suggestions on patterns, public access points (bank fishing), other helpful tips?

Fish tight against the deep rocks where the high rock wall goes deep into to the water. It's deep and shaded, bass are holding tight against thesev walls. Cast a drop shot rig with a black or green finesse worm. Let it sink several feet down and twitch it with short quick jerks all the way...
There is also one in Delta Park. I have always been pleased with the service and staff.
Occasionally, I come across one who is not the same caliber as the rest of the staff...but nothing really off-putting.
Decided to replace some fly fishing items as I am getting the bug again (no pun intended) to wave a stick around like a clown while trying to convince trout that my flies are much better than the real thing.
