Been looking at Gmap4 and noticed a little state park Fishing Rock that has a trail to what looks like could be some pretty good fishing. Anyone have any info on the area?

Think like a fish... would you want to be out and about in that rough stuff? No and neither do they. Fish the slack tides when the water is calmest. Also go to the Barview store and ask the owner what is hot to trot at the moment and do exactly what he suggests..
In Garibaldi there are two public places to toss crab rings, traps or max's. Use chicken or turkey legs. I also hear tuna works well. I have caught crab off the piers using Crab Max traps that you cast with a rod or just toss them with a hand line although a bigger trap or ring might work...
