Discount Tackle (local mail order based in Wilsonville) has Zman stuff on sale for 30% off right now. I am not associated with Discount Tackle or Zman in any way shape or form other than being a happy customer of both. I use the Zman TRD on my Ned rigs and the Zman Trick ShotZ on my drop shot...

Been chasing smallmouth this week. Have gone out each afternoon for a few hours for the past three days (Oct 26th-28th). Water temps have dropped and are hovering right around 50 degrees. I've been dropping NED rigs in between 18 and 25 ft of water - seems like the bites are much more subtle...

Water level was super low and we only caught one fish all day in the first five minutes. Had some decent large mouth following are chatter baits but they would never bite. We tried everything we had and no luck. Fall transition in combination with low water levels seems to make fishing pretty hard.

Pretty new to fly fishing and have mostly targeted trout thus far but in the interest of finding something close to home my wife and I checked out this tiny pond by our neighborhood and voila, the bass were biting! Only out there about 30 minutes and just caught a small one but it was fun to...

Howdy all. My names Matthew, I’m from the east coast, and I’m seeking advice/guidance on how to fish for Sturgeon, Slamon, Trout, and Bass (mainly Bass at the moment). I moved out here a few years ago and am now just getting fully back into the fishing scene. I live in Portland (near St. John’s)...

I'm wanting to try out some bass fishing, bought myself an Abu Garcia Baitcaster with a 17 Lb mono line. I think 17 is too heavy, so what are you guys using line-wise? I tried braided and personally didn't like it on my spincast. So would a 12 lb mono line with a little 8-10 lb floro leader work...

Has anyone tried this? There is some quick, shallow water around there. Wondering if letting a sub-surface wooly bugger fly down that stretch past some of the rocks a few times might be productive for some of the smallies i've heard are around there.

Havent been on in a while so good to be back. So ive caught dozens of bass around here at horton or around the lower long tom or coyote creek with most success on mini crawdads crank baits and bass style spinner shad lures and some on rubber swimbaits and soft plastic worms and lizzards.. but my...

I was bored so I threw this together real quick this morning. The basic point is to get out and explore more! I always hear reports where people just hang out at boat ramp c but didn't have much luck. Get out and explore! There are way better spots at Hagg than any of the boat ramps, the dam or...

Fished the lake south down the expressway from Beltline, definitely not the smoothest kayak launch. Fished it for 3 hours, caught 3 and lost 2. Lots of grass carp swimming around for sure Easy to fish, not a lot of decent fish though.
