    Three Rivers snaggers

Are longer leaders needed? Yes. Are 7ft leaders needed, not if you know how to fish. He may be young, but he knows 7ft leaders are ridiculous. And to clarify, the OP was talking about a creek you could jump across in some spots. I've never needed, seen or talked to anyone I respect who uses 7ft...

Best chance for early springers/summer steel?

Coastal rivers just took a big bump. And with the moon phase right now, springers wont be very active on the coast. You could try summer steelhead tho. I'd look more into fishing the Siletz above moonshine if thats the case

    Fishing the Wilson?

I'd go to the Clackamas over the coast if you want to target steelhead.

    Braided line on Citica?

I've been running Power Pro for years now and really like the 30# for casting. If you're not a bone head, you can cast all day with zero tip wraps and zero backlash.

    Bananas while fishing?

It’s the potassium in bananas. There have been two different studies in where fish have been exposed to potassium and fled from it. One, smolt’s in a tank had potassium dripped into the water and all the fish spread away from it. Another one was in the 70’s on a river with spawning salmon. Back...

    Double rig thoughts

I know people do it. Chad from Steelhead Stalkers does it. Guides on the Clearwater do it a lot as well. Thats why they came up with the jig head with two eyes lets. So you can run the dropper from the jig head. I dont think you would have to worry about spooking them as much as you think...

    Hatchery steel

Youre gunna want to watch the river levels. Friday will probably be the only day to fish any of them as they are all predicted to shoot up with the rains this week.

    Hmmmm got driftnets?

I've been saying the same thing. I wont start on my feelings towards the people across the sea, I would get banned from site's in all 50 states! But man oh man, If I could put a stop to what they do!!

15lbs of pure fin clipped beauty!!

Your 15# was the second fish I've seen come out of that hole from monday after I missed a solid BD in it earlier in the morning. Haha nice work!

    To all steelheaders, ticket alert.

Well its all depends on water conditions and weather conditions. But typically Bobber fishing bait either eggs or prawns/coon shrimp, Pink worms or jigs. I like a good long rod, no shorter than 9'6. A good braided line, I like power pro in 30# test. All my mono leaders will be 10 or 8# UG, and...

    Best rivers for spring chinook

In all honesty, I wouldnt fish the N.Santiam trying to catch your first Steelhead/Springer if you dont know what your doing. I firmly believe its the hardest river I've fished, to get into fish. There just isn't a lot of fish, and they are very stubborn biters. I can't tell you how many people...
