Agreed!!! The Abu sx is another great reel just a tad heavier and not quite as adjustable can deffinatly find one for under a hundred

I recently booked a trip with a guide to "learn" a few things.he said that 95% of people troll too slow.his words not mine but we did hook into more fish than any boat around us that day

I'm not a crappie fisherman but yesterday there was 8" of snow down to 3000' that melted all of today so may have cooled the water down

Nothing "proper"but if your just re-wrapping one guide and its not an expensive blank you could probably use a slower drying two part epoxy

If your going to re wrap an entire guide use an epoxy like flex coat or pro kote

I wouldn't worry yet its early.not that many over the falls,it takes them two to three weeks to make it up here and only 15-20% of those fish are mckenzie bound

We used to fish warner a lot when my dad worked for them then they closed it even for employees,their security gaurds are sneeky as hell too

Id buy a handful of stee-lees too

Plunking for sure,very close to the bank where they dont have to fight the current,they usually will move hard in flood water ,basically running into your gear so viz isn't really an issue its just a matter of finding a spot with slacker water thats farely deep

There are some holes that fish great at 15'

I have a kelty daypack and put boxes with whatever is relevant for the days fishing,on second thought its always been full of s/s gear :)
