    A day on the Umpqua

I would say that about 90% of the smallies I've caught on the main have a crawdad in their belly, you can see the tail hanging out their mouth!!!

    First/second/third Lake "Albany"

I'm interested to hear if the bass are biting, later this week the water may warm up a bit with the sun out finally!

I'd do a quick search here, I recall reading about ponds scattered throughout the area. Shouldn't be hard to find

    Bass'n fun with the kiddo

Waiting for a friend to get home from work, the boy and I threw in the poles for an hour of fishin at our favorite little lake close by. Arrived at about 8:15, both of us threw spinners (blue fox & rooster tail) which typically work well here, with no luck, not even a bite. About 15 minutes in...

Soth Ump...tired of these little effer's, need suggestions

Been hitting the river several times since I started this thread. Several different areas of the river too, all within I-5 mp 101-108. With the limited time I have, usually after the kids get in bed at 8, I've been doing pretty good, catching a few each night. Even managed to get into some...

Soth Ump...tired of these little effer's, need suggestions

Ok, my son and I have been hitting the South Umpqua from Rivers West RV park ( just north of Myrtle Creek) up to where I-5 crosses near MP 100. We've been able to catch smallies, but just the little effer's, getting irritating. By little I mean, 6" and under. Fun to catch and all, but looking...

Fishing report: Simpson Pond Monday, April 29, 2013

I've always wanted to get out on that lake, but never had. Looks to be a weed infested slough, but might keep the pressure down. Ive fished the stretch from Waverly lake to where it dumps into the Willamette with a bit of success, bass and small trout
