New to this went below dexter hiked down the river. Fished from 6:00 am until 9 this morning. No fish fished eggs and also tried yarn. Any pointers to a newbie

There's only been 11,750 springers over the Oregon City falls so far. There should be some fish around, hopefully more to come. Keep trying.............

The water coming out of dexter is about 49 degrees as of yesterday . Way too cold . Ok for steelhead , cold for springers . Youd be better off near jasper ,springfield bridge or i5 bridge if you are bank bound . Oddly enough the McKenzie is lower and warmer than the willy at this time of year.

I will be there at 4:30 Friday morning- look me up and I will give you so tips

That's where I caught my first springer! Give it time - it warms up in June and will be more productive once more fish come over the falls.
Unfortunately they moved the deadline downstream so my favorite spots are no longer legally accessible. But that place is too combatty for my taste!

If you see me around, do say hello :)

Got this one this morning-eggs and sand shrimp :)
