a lot of the rivers/lakes are at higher elevations.. Be smart. Carry your chains.
Just because the valley floor is wet, dont assume where your going is too.
Be prepared, it can make your day a lot less stressfull.

Agreed...I drove over a snowy pass last night and it was pretty hairy.

Yeah, I laughed too.

It seems that quite a few people become dumber during inclement weather...or perhaps they were always dumb to begin with and their incapable weather dealing just illustrates this fact better?

Looking at the lil more serious side, don't forget to put together an emergency kit for the home and the car. Hope everyone has sense enough to have at least one candle somewhere handy. No, not for this lil weenie "storm",just think ahead and use your head...you know, ya can't fix dumb.

In the winter when the weather is foul, carry some firewood or sandbags in the back, for some added weight. At times it's good to remove some air from tires fer better traction.
