Heading up for a day trip to Waldo Lake on Aug 1st and was hoping to catch a brook trout and/or Kokanee while I am there. Any tips for fishing it?

Looks like the last time that anyone posted, about Waldo, was some 5 years ago. A quick search of our archives found a list, of all threads related to Waldo. Perhaps looking through them will help you out?

I did look through the archives I was just seeing if anyone had a more current report on it but I guess I will be the most current report after my trip.

I tried Waldo for the first time yesterday and it was incredible… Kokes and large brook trout were all over.

I was in my drift boat with my wife and two sons(1.5yrs old and 2.5 yrs old), borrowed a little trolling motor and battery. Was told the battery was fully charged but it died pretty quickly so didn’t end up fishing much at all between no motor and kids needing attention. Needless to say we didn’t catch anything. Beautiful day up there though.
