Timothy Lake trout fishing

Has anyone made their way up to Timothy Lake in Mt. Hood yet this year? I know it was stocked recently so the roads are clear. I am just curious about the bite. I want to go up this weekend but worried it is still a little chilly and the fish wont be as active.

Let me know if anyone has been up there or has a thought on the matter.

If you go--and have a flotation device--flatlining wedding rings, tipped with bait, was the ticket early last year (we went in April).

Yes, within the top 10' feet of the surface. If that doesn't work change to slightly more weight, to got just a bit deeper.

Timothy will have larger 'bows than Detroit.

Well that sounds like what my plan for Saturday morning will be then.

Thank for the advice TD, Timothy is one of my favorite lakes to fish. Plus it has my 150 dollar penn rod and reel at the bottom of it lol.

Best of luck for you if you make your way out there. It is going to be chilly.

The trout will be spread out in cold water conditions. And likely in shallower water, where the water warms up faster.
