Steelhead beginner on the fly

here is a video on the pattern I started using when I first took up fly rodding steelhead by jay nicholas and caddis fly. Same concept just isn’t on a jig hook.

And here is one from them on a jig hook, but I don’t set my marabou this way, I always Palmer my
Feathers unless I’m tying one with a full body and tail at the end

Now I've just got to figure out how to get the feather plume closer to the eye for that full pom-pom look. Also, these things are wonky as frick but fun to tie.
