Thanks for hitting it up with my MM! Cesar (my n00b friend) had a great time!! He wants to go back out again. He had only ever fished once in his life but had never caught a fish. So this was a great experience for him. He got like a 20 min quick lesson on how to some-what cast a fly rod, then a few lessons on reading the water, and off we went!1 I think he did pretty well for his first time. He was pretty tired after it all though!! hahahaha :lol:
Funny thing was that he was so astounded at the fact that fish would hit the flies that he would just stand there in AWE and then after a few moments try to set the hook. He was a little slow on the hook sets so that is something we are going to have to work on.
Cool thing about this trip, I was going to take my friend with me up there and then MM PMs me and says that he wants to hit it, without knowing before hand that we were going up there already. Crazy coincidence!! :shock: hahahahaha!!
I feel kind of bad though because I had to semi-cancel with Brandon for this trip to work out.
We didn't have anything concrete but I still felt bad having to tell him that I wasn't going to make it down there. My friend wanted to stay closer to home instead of going down south. I hope Brandon was able to get out on Sunday.
