I used to love this place. Haven’t fished in years. I went a couple weeks ago and caught only a sunburn. They have really cleaned the spot up adding docks and paved paths. The weeds have always been an issue, however, they are a good two feet from the bank all the way around. Do they ever clear those? If you can cast out beyond them, you still have to come through the weeds while reeling in. I would thing lures are almost useless.

I went there several years ago, and did really well floating Power Eggs OFF of the bottom. It must not have been weedy back then; or I would've fished it differently. The docks and paved paths, that I saw more recently, really did improve the place a lot. I took pics and posted them, it was so nice. I didn't fish it that time, so I wasn't paying attention to whether there were weeds or not. Perhaps someone else will chime in, on that topic.
