Scratching and clawing lately

Rough few weeks and it's really taking a lot of work to find the fish...river should be loaded but I can't seem to reliably find the biters in any numbers. Hooked one on Tuesday, lost it...hooked one on Wednesday, lost it...devoted hours today and hooked a native that made it my hand:



This fish was ragged...scuffs on the head, dorsal was tatters. I felt a little bad for making a rough trip even rougher for her. Hopefully she makes it back to the big blue without further incident

Nice fish. Ive been out 3 times this week with one hook up, no fish to the bank. 1 broken lamiglass, and a digital camera on the bottom of the river, deep river. Just one of those weeks. Next week is always another shot!!!!

Bummer to hear. I made it out for my first steelhead attempt this week and got a skunk and broken Lami as well. Like you said, next week is a brand new shot at em. Hope you land one.

Nice fish/work chez. Still a great looking fish! Yeah summer steel has been off to a slow start for the most part. At least in my area! Lol def been putting in work for em...anyways, nice work

Lol man sounds like you guys have had a rough week. It's been a week for broken rods all over. Still...fishing is better than not fishing....even when things get crappy...because eventually, you'll land the one that will make you forget all the broken rods and drowned cameras. Things should be picking up. Very. Very. Soon.
