Rafting Sherars Falls (video)

let's do it. Doesn't look dangerous at all. I love their high tech raft too

I've flipped twice over Oak Springs and it is something not to brag about. In my opinion those guys didn't take the possibility of death very seriously. Cool video and their strategy to 'Just hang onto the raft' was the ticket. Never occurred to me to make a raft out of simple inner tubes.

Now that was the seventies for sure. I liked the banjo music in the background. I haven't seen it in a long while but I remember one fellow doing it in a drift boat. There are pictures of it in Amatos' drift boat publication. I wonder where those guys are now and what they are doing?

Lol omfg that's a badass "raft". I'm surprised it went as well as it did

There is a big difference between Sherars then...and Sherars now. The course has changed and the majority of the waterflow runs into the concrete wall of the fish ladder.

I would've ran Sherars then, but would not run it now.

That aside...there are much bigger raftable falls in the NW than that anyway.

That's straight savage. It's probably a good idea they decided not to indulge in their blotter until afterwards. Sweet find on the video.
