Yesterday was too warm here, it was freaky. Am I seeing things or is there a big hole in the net?

Awesome, makes the netting job even more impressive.
I lost my first steelhead to a hole in the net. Was bank fishing and finally got one to stick, I was alone and tried to net it and it got back in the water. I then realized my line was going through the net and the fish got out through a hole. Needless to say it broke off soon thereafter, I remember falling to my knees and feeling like someone just sucked the life out of me. It was crushing after 50 or so hours on the river trying to hook one, that was my first encounter with a steelhead.
