Not a bad first ever steelhead on the fly

So I'm new to the area and am used to catching smaller trout in the Rockies. Living out in the PacNW now, though, I have to go chase after the big boys.

I got my first steelhead over the weekend and was surprised with my luck.

I didn't get a measure on it, but I am guessing ~32".

I think I'll be doing this a little more often!

Way to land your first metal! A hell of a buck it is too! How many trips to the river without landing a steely before you hooked into that prize? I fished almost every weekend for a year chasing metal before my river hours paid OFF!
