New to Salem, need help

I'm new to oregon, just moved from Arizona. I have been exploring Minto brown park over the last week with absolutely no luck. Where are the good areas to fish? It's huge. Been using senkos. Also I want to fish the mouth of Willamette slough for some smallies, where do you park?

BTW...If you have wheels, and the time, head NW about an hour to Henry Hagg Lake. Two state record smallies, have been found there in the past. May hold another.

I was actally thinking about hitting hagg lake tomorrow. Are there some good shore fishing spots there?
