Really one of the best vids I've seen here good job. Just out of wonder what river? I have a toon but have been reluctant to do that. Ben said he did the Wilson today in his toon and sat in one hole and read a book while other boats came through for about 45 min. I LMAO about that.

what area are you out of. I was on the Wilson on Friday and still in the process of getting to know how to work the toon while fishing at the same time. More time than not I would just bank up tried fishing from the toon on the longer stretches but as soon as I get it out I am pulling back in to navigate the next bend. Do you usually fish teh straight sections or do you get the bends in sometimes?

That was basically the first time I've tried using the pontoon from the river. I caught the fish while backtrolling but, I did some fishing from the bank too. I was on the Alsea and I didn't really do much navigating as I was told it was a fairly easy stretch and I just sort of went with it.

Great video. Really illustrates the work and thinking strategy that was needed after the hookup. Got a few looks for that heavy breathing sound, then the eye-roll when it was 'another fishing video'. Makes me wonder if the wish was for me to quit that steelhead obsession and maybe catch me watching what she suspected it was...LOL
