My day

[Mad dog]

Got up at 8:12, made coffee. Got the wife out of bed at 8:30, made her breakfast and got her off to work. Went up to the treestand on the hill behind the house to check the trailcam pic's, saw that big fork was there about 10-15 minutes before daylight. Not much else of any interest....a few does and yearlings....the next door neighbors have been seeing a 6x5 and a nice 4x4 on there property down by the horse barn....they invited me over to come try for them before the season.

Did a load of laundry, then set off to check a goose field 4 miles from the house....loaded!!! Stopped to check the Coho action for a bit, caught a nice looking hen after about 20 minutes. Came home, ate lunch, did the dishes, some more laundry, made some phone calls, f'd around on the Oregon fishing forum for a while, and now the devil has come to collect his due and I have to go to work!!!

Can't wait to do it again tommorrow!

Good luck on your deer hunt, hopefully you get the jump on one of the toads sneakin around your friends property!




Side note.. Was sitting on the couch last night, and I swear there were a few geese doing circles around my house honking about an hour after legal shooting light... I live in the forest on the side of a mountain, have NEVER seen them here. I do have a small seasonal pond on the property thats about 100 yards across, I was gonna go check in the morning but forgot.
