Will 30lb line above a steel lead be right for lings?

Depends on how big of a fish you are going to catch haha! I had no problem with the biggest ling I caught which was 26in on 15lb braid and 15lb floroclear leader. I also jetty fish for lings and heard that bigger fish are usually in deeper off shore waters. But I am gonna bump it up to 25lb braid and floroclear leader just for peace of mind without going too heavy of a line. I'd go heavier if I was going deep sea fishing.
