Got an invite to fish lookout again with a friend of mine, we took his bass boat and I'm sure glad we did.
Launched about 7am and by 11am the wind had the whole lake in 2-3' white caps, it wasn't crazy gusty but it was very steady. Started to lay back down about 4pm
We caught a few dozen smallmouth but nothing giant, seems like a jig outperformed anything else but I did try some odd lures.
Definitely a big place, there's a ton of exploring, two full days I've fished it and nothing was ever the same, doesn't help it's probably 60' or so higher than last time
There's been some decent reports of walleye being caught as well, both while bass fishing or dragging worms in deeper water
