I've installed LED nav lights on my boat

My last attempt at fishing the Smith River from the guardrail convinced me that I need to be able to do so from on the water.
But my old 16' jon boat did not have lights.
But a little wire and some screws as well as a switch panel and a little time, and now I'm equipped to boat at night.
I also installed a couple of courtesy lights. They are installed low enough to be below the gunwale and are shielded on the upper half so as not to light up the water around the boat.
Now I just need to repair my trailer.

I don't know for certain that I am. I tend to do things on the spur of the moment.
But the last attempt at them, I learned that fishing from the guardrail is not for me. Even with my Grandson along to climb the bank, I'm not sure that I would have been able to retrieve any fish I might have caught.
Now with my boat prepared, if I get the urge to try again, I'll be able to do so in a manner I'm sure I can deal with.
