Ideas for fishing in the cold on Saturday?

Tools at my disposal:
2.5 hrs driving patience (each way)
5' 3WT fly rod
9' 5WT fly rod
25lb Ugly Stick spinning rod (15 lb mono)
long johns, fleece pants, waders.

Heading out from the Portland area (West Linn). I could drive to the North fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette and toss around the 3WT. Could do the Deschutes near the mouth with the 5WT. Could drive 20 min and hit Milo. Dunno. Convince me!

I'd take your Ugly Stick and go whack some Nooks on the Wilson.

i would go to the middle fork system. heard haven't heard anything on the north for but ive been hearing the middle fork has been doing good. as long as it doesn't dump rain you would be in good shape

I second that!! With this rain it's gonna bring some fresh fish into the system!!!

scratch out the middle fork out as an option, they let water out of the dam.
