hit the slaw today solo, worked my way around a bit with the high water.....showed up to a spot...when I got there, there was already a banker...he said he had just lost one.
which ment great things.....long story short......"mike" was a really cool guy......we swaped fishing stories and different spots to fish.....He hooked into a fish and lost it when it came out of the water shortly after hooking it....his style of chioce was drifteing and bobbering......mine was tossing the hardware. bout a half hour later he hooks into another just to have it pop off.........little while later I hook into one....nothing more then a few head shakes and a splash on the surface and fish off. hour or so later boom im on again.....a 10-12# chrome silver bullet comes flying out of the water and spits my hook all at the same time.......ugh.........Mike says keep with it, ull get one in.....just after he said that...he's on with a nice 9 pound buck hatchery fish..."BONK"......he worked hard for that fish..........abit later we see a nice fish roll out toward the middle....i cast out, letting the lure sweep across......BAM fish on........she wanted to pin me down like a salmon....I was having flashbacks of all the firetrucks.....then a show of chrome....big chrome.....wrestled her into the bank.....HATCHERY!! I yelled to mike in excitment because of all the trouble we were having keeping them on. now all the hard work paid OFF, we both had some winter chrome laying on the bank............not ten minutes later he is oin again.....and lands another nice keeper buck.

PS sorry bout the nice river pic....forgot my camera.....by the time i took the pic at home she had been laying in ice for well over 4 hours....didn't want to disssapoint with no picture and all......and mike it was very nice to meet you, ur a hell of a fisherman....if your reading.....oh ya and you see that mini laydown freezer..ya...she went in there (for the haters)
