Hagg Lake big trout

I went out after work to do some bass fishing. Was about to leave as there was no action and threw out one last cast and this guy went after my Rebel Crawdad.

I used a Rebel crawdad at Olalla Lake a couple of years ago and caught a bunch of trout. Trout like those , too. Nice fish.

Nice fish. Did you get any measurements? Looks like maybe 22 - 24", or thereabouts.

Ha. I almost nailed it. Most excellent! Must've been 6 - 8 pounds or so. Bet it was a fun fight!

Eight or nine years ago; there were several 11 - 12 pounders caught every year. But I haven't seen, nor heard, of that in a few years now. Probably too over fished, or ODFW is planting big brooders as much (which hold-over, and go "beast mode").
