Gold Beach and beyond?

So got into gold beach but reports aren't sounding too good for catching a steelhead. Especially for this Noob. Not sure what to do from here. Think we will only spend a day here then head up to the Alsea.

I was at Elk River on Thursday and it was on the rise then. I'd give it a shot now. It was a ghost town, nobody else there.

I heard the half pounders were biting on the lower rogue about three weeks ago.

Caught a few trout today and that's it. Maybe I will hit up the elk tomorrow

I would hit up the sixes, water color is much better. park at the old grange store right there on 101 and wade upstream.
