Going coastal

My 8 year old (who's caught more steelhead than me) and I are heading out from Corvallis Saturday. Can't decide between Siletz or some other coastal river. We're open to steel, nooks or ho's. Anybody think we have a chance? Thanks from me and my boy.

You have a great shot at chinook on the siletz. Be sure to fish below the Ojalla bridge. it's not open for chinook above there.

Not my neck of the woods but nows the Time!

Thanks jamisonace.

I'm headed to top off the tackle bag. Already have eggs/bobber, sand shrimp, jigs, pink worms, gooey bobs. Planning to pick up some spinners. We'll be casting from waders. Anything else anybody would recommend I pick up?

Do you have a big salmon net? If you run across one like jamisonace got, you'll need it.
