So for like the last 3 weeks, the weather has been phenomenal!!! Just superb weather to break out the fly rod and do some nice warm weather fishing.

I have been waiting with much anticipation for May 26th. I have a fishing trip planned to hit some superb waters that opening day and have had it planned since like October last year!!! hahahahahaha

But I just checked the weather forecast. Why does the weather have to turn south the week that I am going to take my trip? That is SOOO FRUSTRATING!!!!!:mad::mad:

Take a look:

I am just worried that the waters will rise with the rain. Man, this totally sucks!!!!!

It is the theory of Memorial Day relativity. If it's relative to that day; the chance of rain is directly proportional and has an inverse reaction. Sorry man.

Since when has any 10 day forecast of the Northwest been accurate?

since when has ANY forecast been accurate? what a nice job to have... be wrong and STILL have a job

Troutdude and Modest_Man both make very good points. Everything will work out fine regardless, and fishing in cloudy or rainy weather is better for your health than being out cooking in the Sun.

At any rate, Oregon weather never stabilizes until after July 5th.

Ha ha. I've used that line before...along with..."and make $80 - $120K per year too!"

A lot of regions have very predictable weather patterns. Lots of meteorologists are spot on all the time. Not in the Pacific Northwest though...

My grandfather has this book, and since their house is boring I read it. Fairly interesting. The Pacific Northwest has some of the hardest to predict weather in the US!

and thats only for 2 days anyways

that sucks!! good for the fish though. hopefully water levels are stable enough to fish

Fish deep and slow for Trout this time of year, very deep; if your opposed to loosing tackle you might want to wait a month or so.
